Hi dear friends, thank you for following my journey. Here is this week’s update.

Progress at last.

Life Onboard:

Finally I have managed to obtain the part number, it has only taken seven weeks! Once obtained the part was ordered and paid for, it should arrive here in Malta in 10 days time (I hope).

Now that is on order I have started gearing up in readiness for departing Malta, if all goes to plan then that should be the last week in May or the first week in June (2009). With that in mind I have looked back through my daily journal trying to find when my problems (medical) began. I have tried to correlate between what I was doing / eating at the time.

Late during the week I came across an entry dated, Monday 21st July 2008, it was a few weeks after all this began. I noted that I felt better after taking sugar so for the past few days I have been having a sugar (Mars bar) intake before turning in, another first thing in the morning and again mid morning. For some reason I had always feel a bit better late afternoon. Since starting this regimen I have had a lot more energy, this in turn raises ones morale.

The Boat:

A few loose wooden fittings (cosmetic) were re-secured, these became loose on the voyage from Darwin. They were removed, cleaned and clued back in place

The remainder of the teak wood has been cleaned and re-oiled.

Fair winds, calm seas.

David.
