At anchor off Urquharts Bay, North Island, New Zealand, South Pacific Ocean.

Hi dear friends, thank you for following my journey. Here is this week’s update.

A quiet start before moving on.

Life Onboard:

It has been a quiet week here in Opua really, well other than socialising as I make plans to move off and see a little bit of New Zealand. Well, okay, the North Island then.

Departing Tuesday however the wind was not too favourable so I decided to pay a visit to my first marina for several years. Whangarei town basin has a good write up however my arrival there was delayed several days as I missed the tide on the first (Friday) attempt then spent another day waiting as the weather turned nasty.  Its now Saturday, I am at anchor off Urquharts Bay sitting below decks in my foul weather gear, thermals on.

The Boat:

Pinta requires no work this week.

Fair winds, calm seas.

David.
